The End is Near

WHEW! What a long year. I am ready to get it over with and get on with lazy(?) summer days. Sickness hit this house HARD here starting about 3 weeks ago and I thought it was making its way out. Unfortunately both boys came home complaining of stomach cramps so we may have one last go round.

I was seriously ill 2 weeks ago and it totally wiped me out. I am just now feeling just about 100%. Thank goodness it was then and not now I guess. Too much to do at the end of the year. Like Baseball. Cameron had his first game last night and he did very well. Obviously he is just learning the game but he had fun. One of his best buds is on his team and that helps A LOT. Connor's first game is tomorrow. If his practice last Sunday is any indication he should do pretty well. He seems to be picking up the game pretty well. He had a very nice hit, that's for sure.

I won't have the kiddos this weekend so I am headed to St. Chuck for some time with Chris. Hopefully Scott too will make an appearance. He is finishing up his work with Marine Week in Chicago. I think he will enjoy being home again. Found out he will probably be deployed so that is a bummer. We will have to have a farewell party for sure.

Kyla graduated back into her own bedroom. She now has a full size bed complete with Princess bedding. She has informed me that I need to take down the teddy bear wallpaper and put up princess paper. I informed her that I will not be putting up any wallpaper but rather some princess clings will do nicely.

We drive by the brand new aquatic center being put in daily and watching the progress is so much fun. Kyla is SOOOO excited to finally see some slides for her to go on too and not just the big kid ones. It is going to be nice.

Well, that's about it. Red Sox are still ahead of the Yankees and White Sox and barely ahead of the Cardinals. So all's good right now.

Cheers!
A
